Massimo Barlettani

Massimo Barlettani was born in Volterra (PI) in 1956. He began to draw from a young age. This passion led him to choose a creative profession and in 1979 he started his own activity in advertising field. His artistic research has been developing with a journey from abstract painting that evolved in a figurative redefinition of iconic elements, particularly female forms and natural elements. In 2014 he presented the “Polline” project at Uoll in Florence, curated by Roberto Milani and Filippo Lotti. In 2015 the Gioiello di Lodi Gallery is exhibited with an exhibition curated by Mauro Gambolò, at the Stella Palace for the Biennale of Art in Genoa by Mario Napoli, Villa Rescalli Villoresi Museum Dario Mellone, Busto Garolfo Milano with United Factories, Nautilus of Capri (Na) with the FDA Project by Susanna Gargiulo. At the Milan Triennale for a project sponsored by EXPO Milano 2015 he was invited for a solo show: “Il network della natura”, with a video-installation curated by Viacheslav Zakharov, at the Spazio Tim4Expo. In 2016, at “Villa Le Rose” in Cerreto Guidi (Fi), “Linfa” curated by Laura Orlandi, developed, later, with an important personal exhibition at the “Spazio Lavit” in Varese. Also in 2016, “Fiorescenza” was inaugurated in Rome, together with Eva Munarin’s sculptures at the Frammenti d’arte Art Gallery. In 2017 he exhibited at Madonna di Campiglio (Tn), Milan, Alassio (Sv), Santa Margherita Ligure (Ge), Ostuni (Br), Locarno (Switzerland), San Miniato (Pi), then the “Antropology” project was presented with a major exhibition in Montelupo Fiorentino (Fi), presented by Alessandra Redaelli. In 2018 he exhibited in Milan in an exhibition curated by Silvia Rocchi and then he was invited to participate in “Joy”, an important exhibition on the international figuration curated by Anna Rowlinson at the Osborne Studio Gallery in London, then he exhibited “Antropology” at the Castle of Nervi ( Genoa), in conjunction with Euroflora, in the exhibition curated by Barbara Cella for Cella Art Gallery and, afterwards, we find it again in Milan in the collective curated by Maurizio Cucchi “Urbanità Liquide” at the Galleria Previtali. Also in 2018 the installation project “Divina essentia” at the Church of San Pietro di Balconevisi (San Miniato, Pisa), curated by Filippo Lotti and a video produced by Guglielmo Meucci. In 2019 will have seen him take part in “Sheep Art – Arte in transumanza” at Palazzo Pretorio in Certaldo (Florence) and hold a personal exhibition “All You Need is Flowers” at Pero Renna Arte Contemporanea in Naples, both curated by Filippo Lotti. He exhibited at Palazzo Oddo in Albenga (Savona) with “Flò”, curated by Francesca Bogliolo. He also presented “Petali”, a solo exhibition in Savona at the Gulli Arte, and in Pienza (Siena), he took part in “Utopia”, curated by Monica Rossi. He follows the collective “50 anni di luna nuova” at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice, curated by Anna Caterina Bellati. He has exhibited at the Art Parma Fair, Lucca Art Fair, Lausanne Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair Hong Kong, GrandArt Milano and Art Fair Zagreb. Barlettani lives and works at Cerreto Guidi.
